Francesco Didioni

Francesco Didioni (1839 – 27 July 1895) was an Italian painter known for his works primarily in the genre of portraits, including historical subjects. He was born in Milan and passed away in Stresa. Didioni drew inspiration from the artistic style of Raffaele Casnédi, which influenced his own artistic approach.

One of his most notable creations was a painting titled "Ragione di stato" (Reason of State), which depicted the divorce of Napoleon from Josephine. This significant piece showcases Didioni's skill in capturing historical events and their emotional impact.
